Reporting & Analytics PM

Job Summary: Provide a clear and concise summary of the role – highlight the scope and complexity of the duties.The primary purpose of the Reporting and Analytics Project Manager role is to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization by ensuring the effective collection, analysis, and reporting of data. This role aims to enhance business performance and strategic planning through the provision of accurate and actionable insights.

Main Accountabilities Provide the accountabilities of the role in bullet form in order from most to least important. Technical Responsibilities: Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data pipelines to support business needs. Implement data warehousing solutions and integrate various data sources. Perform complex data analysis and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Utilize statistical and machine learning models to predict trends and inform decision-making.
Managerial Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven project alignment.Set clear team goals and provide regular performance feedback.Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.Identify and address skill gaps through training and development.Leadership Responsibilities Drive a data-centric culture within the organization.Champion the importance of data quality and governance.Communicate data strategies and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analytics and reporting. Mentor junior team members and promote professional growth. Tools and SystemsProficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc. Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.

Knowledge of ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, or Apache NiFi.
Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala. Project Management ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and presentations.Utilize project management tools like JIRA, Asana, or Trello.
Administrative Function Accountabilities Maintain documentation of data processes, standards, and best practices. Manage data access and security protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations. Coordinate with IT teams to support data infrastructure needs. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for data projects.
