Our client is a fast-paced, client-focused law firm with a growing real estate practice. They are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Real Estate Law Clerk to join their collaborative environment.


Your New Role
As a Real Estate Law Clerk, you will manage both residential and commercial real estate transactions from initial instruction to final reporting. You will prepare legal documentation, conduct title and off-title searches, coordinate with clients and third parties, attend closings, and ensure all files are handled in accordance with legal and procedural requirements. The role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage a high volume of files under tight deadlines.


Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing residential and commercial real estate transactions from start to finish
  • Handling a high-volume caseload (45+ files per month)
  • Reviewing and preparing agreements of purchase and sale, leases, and related documents
  • Conducting title and off-title searches; identifying and resolving issues
  • Preparing requisition letters, closing documents, and statements of adjustments
  • Coordinating with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other transaction participants
  • Attending client meetings, closings, and supporting electronic registrations
  • Opening, organizing, and maintaining client files
  • Tracking key dates, deadlines, and conditions throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Managing billing and accounting functions related to real estate files
  • Providing regular updates and maintaining a high level of client service
  • Preparing legal correspondence and supporting documentation
  • Ensuring file organization and compliance with firm policies
  • Performing administrative duties as required


Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk
  • Completion of a Law Clerk diploma from a recognized institution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software (Unity and PCLaw required)
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication, writing, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to follow up with minimal supervision
