Job Opportunity for a Proposal and Marketing Specialist in Vancouver for Boutique Architecture Studio!

Your new company

This Vancouver‑based, internationally recognized architecture, interior design, and planning practice specializes in cultural and communal spaces, including performing arts facilities, university buildings and campuses, libraries, and community centres. The studio is known for balancing creative vision with technical excellence and a people‑centred, context‑responsive approach to placemaking.

The firm’s diverse team represents 18 countries and brings a broad range of global perspectives and expertise. Employees enjoy a collaborative, inclusive, and design‑driven studio environment, with opportunities to contribute to projects that have a meaningful and lasting impact on communities.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Principals, the Marketing & Proposal Specialist will lead the firm’s marketing, communications, and business development pursuits. This is a senior, hands‑on role responsible for overseeing the full proposal lifecycle while helping shape and execute overall marketing strategy.

You will research and identify new project opportunities, manage RFQs, RFPs, and RFEOIs from start to finish, and coordinate closely with Principals, Directors, consultants, and external stakeholders. In parallel, you will create compelling written and graphic content, manage digital platforms, oversee marketing assets, and help strengthen the firm’s industry profile through awards, publications, and thought leadership initiatives.

This role is central to positioning the practice in the market, supporting continued growth, and ensuring all external communications reflect the firm’s design excellence and core values.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3–5 years of experience leading marketing and proposal efforts within architecture, design, engineering, or professional services
  • Proven ability to manage multiple proposals and marketing initiatives under tight deadlines
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical content into clear, persuasive narratives
  • Strong graphic sensibility with experience producing visually compelling materials
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and MS Office; experience with Photoshop and Illustrator is an asset
  • Background or strong interest in architecture and the built environment
  • Demonstrated experience with social media strategy, award submissions, and press engagement
  • Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative, with confidence working alongside senior leadership

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($75k-$85k)
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits
  • Paid vacation and sick leave
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • A collaborative, design‑focused studio culture
  • The opportunity to work on impactful cultural and civic projects
