Project Manager – Design‑Build Construction (Commercial & Light Industrial)
*Edmonton‑Based Developer/Builder Expanding to Sask

A growing, forward‑thinking developer‑builder is seeking a Project Manager who thrives in an environment where decisions are made quickly, bureaucracy is minimal, and accountability is the norm. This is an opportunity to join a company that is scaling fast and invests in modern processes, strong collaboration, and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, sharp problem‑solving abilities, and a genuine passion for delivering high‑quality buildings. If you enjoy leading multiple projects, shaping process improvements, and driving results with a strong sense of ownership, this role will fit you well.

About the Role
The Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of commercial and light‑industrial construction projects from early concept through closeout. You’ll manage design coordination, permitting, procurement, scheduling, contract administration, site performance, and budget control.
This role is best suited for someone who is hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable working in a high‑responsibility environment where your input directly influences outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple construction projects from design development through turnover.
  • Coordinate and review design packages; facilitate page‑turning sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, bid evaluations, award recommendations, and contract administration.
  • Direct the RFI and change‑management process, ensuring clarity and timeliness.
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules—identify critical path items and opportunities to compress timelines.
  • Oversee quality control and quality assurance activities, including testing agency and consultant reviews.
  • Facilitate weekly site meetings and maintain clear communication between field and office teams.
  • Own project financial performance: budget tracking, cost controls, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance within the project team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management tools, templates, and processes.
  • Promote a positive, solutions‑oriented culture with creativity and strong follow‑through.
  • Champion safety and ensure all work aligns with high safety standards.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of project management experience
    within commercial or light‑industrial construction.
  • Experience with
    design‑build
    delivery is strongly preferred.
  • Engineering or technical designation is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and building codes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, maintain momentum, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid financial acumen: estimating, budgeting, cost control, and performance reporting.
  • Ability to identify constructability issues early and propose innovative solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills—able to motivate teams and build trust with trades, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through.

Why This Opportunity
  • Work with a leadership team that values initiative, efficiency, and modern building practices.
  • Join a company where your ideas genuinely shape project delivery and internal processes.
  • Be part of a high‑performance environment that rewards accountability, creativity, and results.
  • Opportunity to grow with a company that is expanding its project portfolio rapidly.
