Your new role

We are seeking a Project Manager with proven experience in both new construction and renovations within hospital environments. You will lead major capital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves working closely with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
In this key role, you will lead and manage project teams to deliver healthcare construction projects efficiently and effectively. You will also oversee all phases of project delivery including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and close-out. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, you will represent client interests in contractual and technical matters.

Your day-to-day role will include facilitating client and stakeholder meetings, managing multiple priorities and expectations as well as developing detailed project plans, defining scope, goals, and deliverables. There will be occasional travel in Ontario to locations outside of Ottawa.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this vital job, your background should include post-secondary education in Engineering; P.Eng. or PMP designation is an asset. You should have 8–10+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex projects as an owner’s representative.


Experience in hospital or clinical environments is required as well as demonstrated success managing P3 and capital projects. You must have a strong understanding of design and construction methodologies, project management models, financial management, and contract law.

Practical knowledge of procurement practices, bid preparation, and contract administration. Ability to obtain security clearance. Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio.
