Project Manager / Business Development Lead – ICI Construction

Location: Calgary or Edmonton, AB (Remote Flexibility Available)
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + Bonus + Benefits

About the Company
Our client is a growing Calgary-based General Contractor with a strong reputation in the ICI construction space. With an established project portfolio and a leadership team focused on strategic expansion, they are looking to bring on a PM / Business Development Lead to help drive their next phase of growth across Alberta.

The Opportunity
This is a unique hybrid role combining project delivery and business development. You will play a critical part in both winning new work and executing projects, making this an ideal role for a relationship-driven construction professional who enjoys being involved across the full project lifecycle.
The position offers flexibility to be based in Calgary, Edmonton, or work remotely, with travel as required for client meetings and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management
  • Lead projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client expectations
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards
  • Collaborate with site teams and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
  • Oversee contract administration, change orders, and risk management
Business Development
  • Identify and develop new client relationships across Alberta
  • Leverage existing network to generate new project opportunities
  • Participate in RFPs, proposals, and presentations
  • Work closely with leadership to define growth strategy and target sectors
  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in ICI construction (Project Manager or similar role)
  • Proven ability or strong interest in business development and client-facing work
  • Existing network within Alberta construction market is a strong asset
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgeting, and project execution
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a semi-autonomous, growth-focused environment
  • Willingness to travel within Alberta as needed
