Project Manager

HAYS Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading engineering firm to recruit a Project Manager – Civil Engineering for their Vancouver office. This is a strategic leadership role ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in managing complex heavy industrial and industrial infrastructure projects.

Your Role:

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects in the heavy industrial and industrial sectors from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and identifying opportunities for future collaboration.
  • Oversee project design, permitting, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to project engineers and technical staff.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Lead proposal development and contribute to strategic business development initiatives.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Report on project progress, financials, and performance to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Your Profile:

  • Licensed P. Eng. In Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with a focus on heavy industrial and industrial projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects in Canada.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and budgeting software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
Work Environment

  • Hybrid Schedule: In-office Tuesday to Thursday.
  • Location: Vancouver, BC.
  • Travel: Not required.
