Your new role

They are seeking a skilled Project Manager with 7+ years experience overseeing retail architectural projects. You will lead the day-to-day execution of architectural projects from concept through construction. You’ll ensure alignment with client goals, design intent, and technical excellence while overseeing one or more projects of varying scale and complexity. This role requires a seasoned leader, expert project management skills, and a deep understanding of retail construction and design practices.

Project Leadership and Delivery
  • Lead and manage all phases of architectural projects from design through construction and closeout
  • Develop and track detailed project plans, schedules, work plans, and budgets
  • Monitor scope, schedule, and budget; make proactive adjustments as needed
  • Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and invoicing
  • Oversee quality of documentation, communication, and deliverables
  • Coordinate travel and client-facing workflows
Client Engagement & Communication
  • Serve as the primary client contact for project updates and coordination
  • Build and maintain strong client and consultant relationships
  • Communicate risks and issues early, ensuring clear mitigation strategies
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, assigning responsibilities and maintaining workflow alignment
  • Provide coaching and regular feedback to team members and junior staff
  • Identify training needs and recommend professional development opportunities
  • Support proposals and work plans with senior leadership
  • Organize and lead project meetings, setting clear agendas
Financial & Risk Management
  • Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to maintain performance and client satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and internal processes
Quality & Process Improvement
  • Uphold design and technical standards throughout project delivery
  • Apply lessons learned and industry best practices to improve processes


What you'll need to succeed

  • 7+ years in project management roles in retail architectural projects
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture or related field
  • Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating architectural projects through all phases
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills to foster client and team alignment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM technologies, and architectural detailing
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies, building codes (US/Canada), and permitting processes
  • Ability to produce and review high-quality technical drawings and documentation
  • Proactive, accountable, and collaborative, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
