Your new role

This firm is hiring 2 Project Accountants to support their growing workload. Reporting to the Controller, the Project Accountant needs to be capable of managing 100+ active projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, billing, collections, and reporting. The role is ideal for candidates that stem from construction, consulting engineering or development industries and have strong multitasking abilities.

  • Prepare client invoices in line with contracts and company procedures
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Maintain accurate project setups in company's ERP software
  • Provide monthly project updates to the Controller
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and sub-consultants to ensure financial health of projects
  • Track and resolve project and accounting issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and contractual obligations
  • Support year-end reporting and external audits

What you'll need to succeed

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Years of experience in project accounting, ideally in engineering, architecture, or construction
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition, cost control, and budget monitoring
  • Experience with ERP softwares
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage high volumes of projects and meet deadlines
