Your New Role
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the design team, supporting Project Managers and the Partners, and be responsible for commercial and multi-residential mechanical systems design, including HVAC, Plumbing and Sanitary, Storm, Fire Protection & Sprinkler Systems. You will be responsible for preparing mechanical system drawings, conducting site inspections, and performing heating and cooling load calculations. You’ll also contribute to system selection, coordination with other disciplines, and construction administration tasks. You will need to read, understand and apply OBC, CSA, ASHRAE and NFPA standards.


What You'll Need to Succeed
Education:Diploma in Mechanical/Building Systems Technology or a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering


Experience: At least 8 years of related design experience in Canadian mechanical construction for building systems (HVAC and Plumbing)


Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of all mechanical systems from both the design and installation perspectives, including HVAC systems, piping systems and plumbing systems.
  • Strong Revit MEP and AutoCAD capabilities
  • Strong understanding of mechanical construction, installation methods, technologies, planning and management, commissioning process
  • Working knowledge of OBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, and related standards
  • P.Eng a strong asset.


Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Fluency in English and Mandarin is a strong asset
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to continue learning and adapt to evolving industry practices
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and a portfolio demonstrating Revit capabilities
