Your New Role

As a Mechanical Engineer Project Manager, you will take a lead role in delivering building services projects across the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area. Working in a remote-first environment, you will combine technical design expertise with project management and client-facing responsibilities.
You will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of mechanical projects, supporting business development initiatives, and mentoring junior team members. Your role will include preparing calculations and specifications, developing layouts and drawings, conducting site assessments, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attend client meetings, and contribute to regional growth initiatives.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and P.Eng. designation in British Columbia
  • 6–8+ years of consulting engineering experience within building systems
  • Strong technical background in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Experience with facility upgrades, retrofits, and equipment replacement projects
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience preparing feasibility studies, calculations, and specifications
  • Familiarity with project financials and ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Ajera) is an asset
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong knowledge of BC building codes and industry standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel for site and client visits
