A growing consulting company is in need of a Mechanical EIT/Engineer to join them remotely!

Your new company

Our client is a dynamic engineering consulting group, home to a diverse team of talented engineers across multiple disciplines. Since 2015, they’ve built a strong reputation delivering innovative solutions to the multi-residential, commercial, retail, institutional, and industrial sectors in Ontario. Now, they’re expanding into British Columbia, bringing their expertise in capital system and equipment replacements, retrofits, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and new construction projects to a new market.

Your new role

As a Mechanical EIT/Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth in BC. This position blends strategic planning, client engagement, project delivery, and leadership. You’ll thrive if you’re passionate about enhancing mechanical building services, eager to tackle complex challenges, and equally motivated to deliver precise, detailed designs using AutoCAD. Your ability to communicate with clarity and confidence—asking the tough questions when needed—will make you a trusted partner in a collaborative, team-driven environment. This is a career-defining opportunity to work directly with senior management, contribute to high-impact projects, and accelerate your professional growth.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you should bring three to five years of direct industry experience in mechanical building services, ideally with retrofit expertise. A diploma or degree in mechanical building services or engineering is required, and a P. Eng designation is preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, along with familiarity with the National Building Code of Canada and the BC Building Code, will be essential. You should also have a solid understanding of ASHRAE and CSA/ULC standards. Success in this role will come from excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications. Above all, you should be a motivated self-starter with a keen eye for detail and a collaborative mindset.

What you'll get in return

Joining this firm means becoming part of a workplace built on trust, respect, and creativity. You will enjoy a competitive salary ($90K-$120K) with performance-based raises and bonuses, as well as a two-tiered profit-sharing plan that includes a pension. The company offers remote, flexible working hours, short-day Fridays all year long, and a hybrid working model designed to support work-life balance. Employees benefit from a comprehensive health program, including dental coverage at no cost, along with phone allowances, paid mileage and expenses for work-related travel, and company-sponsored social events and trips both locally and abroad. Professional development is a priority, with opportunities for external courses, in-house training, and ongoing mentorship. This is a firm that values autonomy, avoids micromanagement, and empowers its professionals to take ownership of their schedules while fostering an environment where creativity thrives.
