Your New Role
As a Mechanical Designer/Engineer – Project Lead, you’ll manage small-scale projects and oversee day-to-day activities within the mechanical project group. Your responsibilities will span technical design, scheduling, and project management. You’ll lead client communications, prepare proposals and specifications, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure projects stay on track and meet company standards. This role also includes mentoring junior staff, participating in design development, and contributing to business development efforts.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Engineering degree or technical diploma
  • Strong design skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven technical background in mechanical systems
Project & Team Management:
  • Experience in project operations, budgeting, and productivity improvements
  • Ability to manage change and improve internal processes
  • Skilled in scheduling, resource planning, and team coordination
Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Self-motivated and independent with a collaborative mindset
  • Customer-focused with sound judgment and decision-making skills
Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and other engineering software
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
