Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Marketing Manager will lead a new integrated marketing division across three mission-driven brands in education, workforce solutions, and catering. You will set the multi-brand strategy, own the funnel from awareness to conversion for three distinct lines of business (student enrolment, B2B workforce solutions, and catering sales), manage the marketing budget and agency/vendor partners, and build a small, high-performing team.
The role balances brand stewardship, digital performance marketing, content and PR, partnerships, and rigorous compliance in regulated environments (e.g., career-college advertising rules, sector standards for food and shelter services).

Candidate Profile

You are a strategic builder-operator and self-starter who is data-driven, customer service-obsessed, and adept at seamlessly switching between B2C (student recruitment and catering DTC/B2B) and B2B (workforce solutions) marketing environments. You thrive in mission-driven settings, translate insights into actionable strategies, and confidently navigate compliance and reputation risks in public-facing care and education sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive 24-month, multi-brand marketing strategy aligned to priorities.
  • Implement brand guidelines and ensure consistent messaging and visual identity.

  • Build operating models, processes, and playbooks; hire and coach marketing staff.

  • Brand, Communications & Reputation
  • Lead brand storytelling, PR, executive communications, and issues management.
  • Oversee websites and content ecosystem including articles, ads, landing pages, and case studies.

  • Social Media & Content Marketing
  • Manage social strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
  • Create and commission content that drives inquiries, bookings, and applications.

  • Digital Demand Generation
  • Run full-funnel campaigns across SEO/SEM, paid social, email, and partnerships.
  • Implement lead qualification and nurturing workflows.

  • Data, Insights & Measurement
  • Define KPIs and build dashboards for leads, conversions, and ROI.
  • Maintain privacy-aware analytics and consent practices.

  • Business-Line Marketing
  • Education: Build compliant pipelines for academic programs.
  • Workforce Solutions: Generate qualified organizational leads and support RFPs.
  • Catering: Drive corporate and institutional catering growth with sector-specific campaigns.

  • Compliance, Risk & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with advertising rules, accessibility standards (AODA), and sector regulations.
  • Maintain audit trails and version control for all marketing materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; Master’s an asset.
  • 7–10+ years in multi-brand marketing with B2C and B2B ownership.
  • Proven success in at least two of: education, healthcare/social services, food service/catering, or non-profit sectors.
  • Expertise in digital performance marketing, analytics, and vendor management.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and leadership skills.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and optical coverage.
  • Group matching RRSP.
  • Professional development and conference participation.
  • Clear growth path from Manager to Director as the function scales.
