Events and Community Marketing Manager -Toronto (Remote)

Your new company
Our client, a cloud‑based accounting and invoicing software platform designed to help small businesses, freelancers, and service‑based professionals manage their finances easily, is currently looking to hire full-time Events and Community Marketing Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.
This role is for someone who has grown up in startups—who knows how to operate when things are fast, ambiguous, and high‑impact—and who can bring clarity to complex SaaS business models.

Your new role
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Demand Generation and Partnerships and works cross-functionally with Brand, Content, PR, Performance Marketing, Partnerships and external agencies. You will lead the day -to-day execution and long-term evolution of company's community strategy, ensuring that in-person and digital programs connect into a cohesive, scalable growth system.
You’ll spend time engaging directly with small business owners, learning what matters to them, and translating those insights into programs that strengthen trust, build belonging, and turn customers into advocates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and scale company's community growth engine across priority regions and digital channels, connecting in-person activations, online engagement, and advocacy into a cohesive system.
  • Identify and prioritize high-opportunity markets and segments through influence mapping, market research, and customer insights to guide regional pilots and expansion.
  • Design and scale ambassador, referral, and partner programs that drive measurable word-of-mouth growth and community-led acquisition.
  • Partner with marketing teams to integrate community programs into campaigns, storytelling platforms, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Create and maintain scalable playbooks, operating models, and toolkits that enable repeatable, high-quality community programs.
  • Establish performance metrics and manage budgets to measure community impact on acquisition, retention, and regional growth, continuously optimizing based on data and feedback.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across the ecosystem.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in community, marketing, partnerships, or growth programs
  • Proven experience building and scaling omni-channel programs across digital and in-person environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex event calendars and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Highly creative with an entrepreneurial attitude
What you'll get in return
  • Competitive total compensation package with strong employee‑rated perks and benefits.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness coverage
  • Retirement savings and matching program
  • Flexible paid time off, giving you the freedom to take vacation, sick time, or volunteer days when you need them
  • Flexible and remote‑friendly work options based on role and operational needs
  • Learning & growth opportunities
