The Manager, CoE Ai & Automation leads the design and execution of Vale Base Metals’ AI and automation strategy within the Data & Analytics function. Focuses on augmenting workforce capabilities through GenAI, driving productivity and smarter decision-making. Oversees the rollout of agentic AI tools, enabling automation of tasks and processes. Partners with business units to identify high-impact use cases, streamline operations, and reduce manual effort. Ensures secure, compliant deployment of AI solutions while preparing the organization for AI-first operating models and future BPO transformation.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Needs deep knowledge of GenAI, agentic AI, and automation frameworks to drive transformation. The role demands hands-on experience with ML Ops, managing model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle operations to ensure scalable, reliable AI solutions.
- Data Governance: Strong grasp of data governance principles, privacy laws (GDPR, HIPAA), and ethical AI practices.
- Ability to translate business needs into AI use cases with clear ROI and measurable outcomes.
- Identifies inefficiencies and redesigns workflows to enable automation and AI integration.
- Implementing security measures like encryption and access controls to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access and breaches.
- Strong organizational skills to manage data quality, security, and usage across the data lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills to drive collaboration across teams and communicate the value of data governance to leadership.
- Ability to anticipate the future needs of data-driven organizations and align data strategies with business objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain clear and open channels of communication, manage defined roles and accountabilities, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to identify and address data-related issues, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and security through robust data governance frameworks.
