Our client is a highly respected boutique law firm located in downtown Toronto, specializing in commercial litigation and insolvency matters. Your new role

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to a team of lawyers handling complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy/insolvency files. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence.
  • Managing calendars, scheduling court appearances, and coordinating meetings.
  • Handling electronic and physical filing, including court filings and document management.
  • Communicating with clients, courts, and other stakeholders professionally.
  • Assisting with billing, time entry, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth file management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3–7+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Commercial Litigation and/or Bankruptcy & Insolvency.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario court procedures and filing requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal practice management software.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
