Our client is one of the largest employers in Warehousing & Logistics in Canada and has a permanent full-time job open for Licensed Millwright (433a), for their Distribution Centre in the East Ottawa- Napean – Kanata, ON area. This is an early afternoon shift, 12.30pm -9 pm Monday – Friday. All candidates MUST know how to troubleshoot PLCs, read schematic diagrams besides strong mechanical hydraulics pneumatic skills on modern high-speed conveyor belts and packaging equipment.

A clear criminal record is required for employment.

Licensed Millwright,433a will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting this Distribution Centre for their material handling equipment conveyors, sorters, motor and gear box repairs etc. Millwrights will provide support to the production, repair equipment breakdowns and carry out preventive maintenance projects. You will update the CMMS system for equipment history and parts.
Basic PLC troubleshooting skills are required; should be able to read ladder diagrams. Strong hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and basic electrical and basic PLC are preferred. Good communication skills in English are a MUST. Ability to work in a team environment and independently is a MUST have. This is a fast-paced environment.

* 433a license; clear criminal check

* Close to 3 years’ experience in repair, diagnostics, troubleshooting of high-speed packaging / conveyor belts / material handling equipment

* Basic PLC troubleshooting skills, ability to read ladder diagrams and diagnose
