Your new role

As a Legal Assistant in the Litigation group, you’ll be a key support to lawyers handling commercial, civil, and estates litigation matters. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, scheduling, docketing, billing, and file management
  • Drafting and editing correspondence, memoranda, reports, retainers, and legal forms
  • Coordinating calendars, tracking key dates, and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Preparing and organizing court documents including pleadings, motion records, mediation briefs, trial records, and factums
  • Communicating professionally with clients, lawyers, and court staff
  • Supporting the team with document collation and other litigation-related tasks
You’ll work alongside experienced legal professionals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.


What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
  • A Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in litigation, with strong knowledge of Civil and Estates Litigation
  • Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and legal software such as Acumin and ACL
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently under pressure
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed
