Employment Litigation Legal Assistant, 3 Days in Office

Your new company

Join a leading boutique employment and labour law firm that has built its reputation on excellence, integrity, and client trust. This is a place where you’ll be surrounded by some of the most respected practitioners in the field, yet still enjoy a culture that is approachable, collaborative, and invested in your growth. The lawyers you’ll support are not only experts in their practice but also mentors who value the contributions of their team. You’ll be part of an environment where professionalism meets camaraderie, and where your career can truly flourish.

Your new role

As a Legal Assistant, you’ll provide critical support to two to three lawyers in a dynamic practice. Your responsibilities will include drafting and revising correspondence and documents, preparing briefs and records for trial and hearings, managing court and tribunal filings, scheduling and travel arrangements, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring smooth communication between lawyers and clients. You’ll also manage email triage, docket entries, expense claims, and file organization. With at least three days onsite (following a fully in-office training period), you’ll benefit from hands-on collaboration while enjoying flexibility to work from home two days per week.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Graduate of an accredited Legal Administration, Paralegal, or Law Clerk program
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Commitment to teamwork and a goal-oriented environment
What you'll get in return
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Comprehensive benefits from day one
  • Hybrid work arrangement with three days onsite after training
  • Exposure to complex, high-profile employment and labour law matters that will sharpen your skills
  • A culture that prizes respect, mentorship, and professional development — you’ll be more than just support staff, you’ll be a valued member of the team
  • The chance to grow your career in a firm where excellence is matched by genuine care for its people
