Your new role

As a Mortgage Enforcement Law Clerk, you’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of mortgage enforcement files. Your duties will include:
  • Preparing and filing legal documents related to power of sale, foreclosure, and writs of possession
  • Drafting affidavits, notices, and correspondence with debtors, lenders, and court officials
  • Managing timelines and ensuring compliance with court procedures and statutory requirements
  • Liaising with clients, process servers, and court staff
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems
  • Supporting lawyers with litigation and enforcement strategy
This role requires a high level of autonomy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.


What you'll need to succeed

  • A Law Clerk diploma or equivalent legal training
  • 3+ years of experience in mortgage enforcement or real estate litigation
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario’s Rules of Civil Procedure and enforcement processes
  • Excellent drafting and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office
  • A proactive, client-focused attitude and the ability to work independently
Experience with lender-side enforcement and familiarity with real estate transactions will be considered strong assets.
