We have partnered with a well-established real estate development firm with a legacy of delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across North America. This position is open to a strong junior accountant who is looking for growth, seeking a long-term career within property accounting.

Your new role

• Maintain accurate accounting records, including posting entries, filing, and data entry.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage related cash flow tasks.
• Support process improvements in financial reporting by compiling, summarizing, and optimizing Excel worksheets for enhanced functionality.
• Provide assistance to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams with day-to-day activities.
• Ensure all accounting files are properly organized and up to date.
• Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Assist with full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of office and retail properties.
• Maintain financial records and establish, reconcile, and balance various accounts.
• Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, prepare trial balances, maintain general ledgers, and assist in preparing financial statements.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and year-end recoveries.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting
• 1–2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Experience with Yardi Voyager software is a plus.
• Prior experience in the real estate industry
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational abilities with proven capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
