Your new role

As a Junior or Intermediate Structural Engineer, you will:
  • Provide structural engineering services for diverse building and bridge projects.
  • Collaborate with technicians and technologists to prepare structural documents.
  • Coordinate with design teams and attend site meetings during construction.
  • Conduct structural field reviews and prepare technical reports and specifications.
  • Operate within the Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP) as mandated by EGBC.
This is a full-time, in-office position located in Nanaimo or Victoria, BC. Relocation will be required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science (Structural Engineering focus).
  • Junior Role: EIT designation.
  • Intermediate Role: 5–10 years of experience and P.Eng designation through EGBC (or equivalent).
  • Experience with concrete, steel, timber, and masonry design.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, S-Concrete) and AutoCAD.
  • Bridge design experience (CSA S6 and AASHTO) is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
