Your new role
As an IT technician, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the computer network and its services. You will ensure business continuity and operational stability of infrastructures and applications. You will provide technical support to users, manage equipment and software, and ensure documentation and vendor relations.
Your daily responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to internal and external users.
  • Provide support outside of normal working hours, on a rotating basis.
  • Install, update, and upgrade network hardware and software.
  • Manage information systems (workstations, printers, telephony, mobile devices, antivirus, access cards, etc.).
  • Adhere to change management procedures.
  • Manage computer hardware and licenses, including maintenance contracts.
  • Write and update technical documentation.
  • Manage vendor relationships and IT purchasing.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 and Server 2016, 2019, 2022 environments (Active Directory, WSUS, GPO, DFS).
  • Good knowledge of networks (DHCP, DNS, VLAN).
  • Proficient in Exchange 2016 and ticketing systems (SpiceWorks, ServiceDesk Plus).
  • Knowledge of VMware Horizon, ESX/ESXi, Office 2016, Office 365, Azure (assets).
  • Certifications A+, Network+, MCP, MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, Cisco CCENT/CCNA (atouts).
  • Experience with Acronis, Kaspersky, EntraPass, Avaya IP Office, SonicWall VPN, mobile desktop management (assets).
  • College diploma (DEC) in network management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical support.
  • Fluency in French and English, oral and written. (French-speaking environment open to English-speakers who speaks French)
  • Sense of customer service, good organization, stress and emergency management.
  • Availability outside of business hours.
