Intermediate IT Support Analyst

Our client has an immediate opening for an Intermediate IT Support Analyst to join their team in Calgary on a 3-month contract.

Role Overview

This role is performed fully onsite and will support the technical transition of a small company being integrated into a larger organization. The focus is on end‑user device deployment, hands‑on desktop support, and assisting with light infrastructure tasks during the transition period.

45 devices are involved in a technical transition/device deployment and current laptops are running Windows 11 on various laptop makes/models. All users will be provided with a new Dell laptop and these laptops will need to be prepared for the users. This will involve building the new laptops with Intune (pre-provision), and the laptops will complete the build process when the users log in for the first time. It is expected that there will be some users/laptops that have some issues when signing in, so the ideal candidate will need to have experience with Intune.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the technical transition of users during a company integration
  • Prepare and deploy new laptops for end users ahead of transition day
    • Devices will be built using documented standard operating environment (SOE) processes via Microsoft Intune.
  • Provide general desktop support in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Perform light networking tasks, including basic troubleshooting, patching network cables, and working on network racks as required.
  • Manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow
  • Work closely with internal IT teams to ensure a smooth transition experience for end users.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 11)
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Experience using Microsoft Intune for device build and management
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre
  • Knowledge of on‑premises Active Directory and Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra)
Personal Attributes

  • Well organized and able to manage tasks independently
  • Strong customer service mindset with good communication skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with users and stakeholders
  • Comfortable working autonomously as well as collaboratively with a remote team
  • Able to strictly follow documented processes and policies
  • Willingness to attend occasional out‑of‑hours Teams meetings if required
