Intermediate Interior Designer opportunity - Toronto - Hybrid - Commercial/Retail Projects

Hays is currently partnered with a notable architectural firm who are looking to hire a highly skilled and creative Intermediate Interior Designer with 3–5 years of local experience to join their well-established team. The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded skill set across all phases of interior design, with a preferred emphasis on commercial, retail and corporate interiors with a solid understanding of FF&E. This role will initially focus on supporting FF&E efforts for notable commercial/retail projects, followed by involvement in a variety of project types across sectors including commercial, retail, workplace, and institutional projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in FF&E design and documentation for major projects
  • Support concept development and material selection
  • Coordinate with consultants and vendors throughout design phases
  • Prepare contract documents and detailed construction drawings
  • Contribute to internal design reviews and client presentations
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of Canadian interior design experience
  • Strong interest and experience in commercial, retail or corporate interiors and FF&E
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite & MS Office.
  • Solid understanding of design development and technical detailing
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and grow
  • ARIDO License/Eligibility an asset


Compensation:
  • Salary negotiable based on experience, between $70k-$80k
  • Discretionary bonus
  • 3 weeks vacation
  • 10 personal days
  • Extended health and dental benefits
  • Hybrid work (2-3 days per week in office)
