Human Resources Generalist role

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions and contribute to a positive, compliant, and high‑performing workplace. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being a trusted partner to leadership and employees alike.


What You’ll Do

Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Serve as the main point of contact for HR-related inquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns from beginning to end.
  • Conduct exit interviews and monitor turnover trends.
  • Support managers with performance-related issues and discussions.


Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Lead interviews and screening for entry-level, professional, and technical roles.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for all full-time office positions.
  • Track recruitment effectiveness and provide monthly analytics to leadership.


HR Compliance & Administration
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files.
  • Support development and updating of HR policies and procedures.
  • Communicate HR standards, regulations, and policies to internal stakeholders.


Payroll Support
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal policies and legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with payroll or finance teams to address employee payroll inquiries, corrections, or documentation needs.
  • Help maintain organized and confidential payroll records.


General HR Support
  • Assist with employee onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations for employee relations issues following investigation procedures.
  • Support additional projects and duties as assigned.


What You Bring


  • 4–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate certificate in Human Resources Management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and policy interpretation abilities.
  • Health & Safety experience is an asset.
  • Payroll experience or exposure is preferred.



Salary:
$75,000–$100,000 per year + benefits
Schedule: Monday to Friday, on-site
Location: Concord, ON (must be able to commute or relocate)
