The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and operational consultant to senior leaders, management teams, and employees across designated client groups. This role is pivotal in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and collective agreements.
Your new role
- Strategic HR Consulting Deliver expert guidance across a broad spectrum of HR functions including organizational development, workforce planning, recruitment and selection, performance management, grievance resolution, and respectful workplace investigations.
- Client Relationship Management Develop deep understanding of client group strategies and objectives. Establish service delivery agreements tailored to each group’s unique needs, acting as the primary liaison between clients and the HR portfolio.
- Workforce Planning & Development Collaborate with leadership to assess HR requirements in alignment with short- and long-term business goals. Design and implement tactical plans to support workforce effectiveness.
- Policy & Compliance Advisory Provide interpretation and application of HR policies, collective agreements, and regulatory frameworks. Exercise sound judgment in navigating complex or ambiguous scenarios.
- Employee Experience & Wellness Support initiatives related to onboarding/offboarding, attendance and disability management, employee health, safety, and wellness, and training and development.
- Leadership Coaching Offer strategic HR advice and coaching to executives and managers on sensitive and high-impact issues, fostering leadership capability and organizational resilience.
What you'll need to succeed
- Education Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A specialization in Human Resources is preferred.
- Experience Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated expertise in resolving complex organizational and people issues in both unionized and non-unionized environments. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
