HR Administrator

Your new company

Hays recruitment has partnered up with a Non-Profit organization based in New Westminster. This a 12 month contract, full time hours, Monday-Friday in office.


Your new role

  • Serving as a key contact for all HRIS updates, ensuring data integrity across employee status, role, and compensation changes.
  • Collaborating with leaders to maintain accurate and compliant employee documentation.
  • Supporting the HR team with HR analytics and monthly reporting.
  • Assisting Recruiters with candidate shortlisting, onboarding coordination, and new hire/leader orientation sessions.
  • Helping coordinate major organizational events such as the annual Gala Awards, summer BBQ, and other recognition initiatives.
  • Working with Directors and Leaders to deliver employee recognition letters, referral program activities, and related initiatives.
  • Participating in committees including the Employee Resource Committee and the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
  • Contributing to broader HR communications, organizational projects, and team initiatives.


What you'll need to succeed

  • 1+ years of office administration experience within Human Resources
  • Completion of Grade 12 plus post‑secondary training in Office Administration or Human Resources (degree or diploma preferred).
  • Commitment to developing professional HR skills including conflict resolution, employee relations, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (ideally UKG) and advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of managing projects from start to finish with creativity and care
