Your new role

As an HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with leaders across various functions to support business goals through effective people strategies. You’ll be responsible for:
  • Building strong relationships with managers and employees to support organizational effectiveness and change initiatives.
  • Coaching leaders on performance management, employee development, and engagement.
  • Supporting talent acquisition efforts and contributing to workforce planning and retention strategies.
  • Leading performance and succession planning processes to build future leadership pipelines.
  • Managing employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Acting as a key contact for labour relations, including interpreting collective agreements and supporting union-related strategies.
  • Collaborating with HR specialists to address topics such as compensation, disability management, training, and compliance.
  • Delivering training sessions on HR-related topics such as respectful workplace, attendance, and policy awareness.
  • Staying current with employment legislation and applying best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Participating in regional and national HR initiatives and contributing to policy and process improvements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field; professional certification is an asset.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, with mandatory exposure to unionized environments and labour relations.
  • Strong capabilities in coaching, organizational development, employee engagement, and conflict resolution.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to align HR practices with evolving business needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple HR priorities across diverse teams and locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and data analytics tools is considered an asset.
  • Availability to travel as required to support operational needs.
