Hays Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a leading North American energy organization to hire an HR Services Representative for a 6‑month contract. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong HR administration or HR service‑desk experience who thrives in a high‑volume environment and enjoys providing exceptional service to employees and retirees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries from employees, leaders, retirees, and vendors.
  • Provide guidance aligned with established HR policies, practices, and programs.
  • Manage cases for employee lifecycle events and coordinate follow‑up with internal HR teams.
  • Deliver prompt, accurate, and professional customer service via phone, online portal, and chat.
  • Accurately record inquiries and update employee information using case management tools and HRIS systems (Workday, SAP, ServiceNow).
  • Support the administration of HR programs and contribute to process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance the employee experience.
  • Participate in training, team knowledge sharing, and HR projects as required.

What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
  • University degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of HR administration or HR operations experience.
  • Plus minimum 1 year in a customer service or service‑desk role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proven ability to resolve inquiries efficiently while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, interpret information, and handle sensitive documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Workday, ServiceNow, and SAP (asset).
  • Prior experience supporting retirees or high‑volume inquiry environments.
  • Bilingualism in French or Spanish is a strong asset.
