Your new role
- Performing maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment used in metal recycling operations
- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
- Troubleshooting and identifying issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Completing repairs and replacements of faulty components, adhering to safety and quality standards
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repair tasks efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and logging work performed
- Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines while conducting maintenance and repairs
What you'll need to succeed
- 421A, 310T or 310S certification
- Previous experience as a Mechanic
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations
- Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and working in various weather conditions
