Your new role

As the Global Master Data Operations Manager, you will lead the global Master Data Management (MDM) function, ensuring the integrity, quality, and governance of enterprise data across multiple domains. Reporting to the Global Director, IT Strategy and M&A, you will oversee a team of MDM Analysts and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to implement scalable, efficient, and standardized data processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading day-to-day operations of the global MDM team and aligning activities with enterprise data strategies.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of 9 MDM Analysts across North America and Europe.
  • Defining and implementing global MDM processes, tools, and a multi-year roadmap.
  • Supporting ERP rollouts, M&A integrations, and system readiness initiatives.
  • Driving automation and standardization across the MDM landscape.
  • Ensuring data quality across key domains (Customer, Vendor, Product, Material, Finance).
  • Leading data quality improvement initiatives and implementing KPIs to monitor compliance and performance.
  • Serving as the global point of contact for master data governance and change requests.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of IT experience with a focus on data management, MDM, and metadata governance.
  • Strong knowledge of MDM tools (preferably Informatica IDQ), data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and database systems (Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as JDE, SAP, Business Central, and Dynamics 365.
  • Proven leadership in managing global teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or building materials industries is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 15% and work onsite at the Mississauga office.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
