Hays is partnering with an investment company based in Calgary. We are seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accounting Analyst to join our finance operations team on a 6-month contract. You may be based out of their Edmonton or Calgary office.

Your new role

• Support the review and reconciliation of financial data across multiple platforms
• Assist with the execution of internal transactions and adjustments to maintain data integrity
• Monitor and validate changes in investment structures and client positions
• Participate in system updates and process enhancements, including testing and documentation
• Contribute to automation initiatives and data quality improvements
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records and reporting tools
• Help develop and maintain reporting procedures using business intelligence tools
• Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders regarding financial data

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services or investment operations
• Professional designation (CPA or CFA) preferred
• Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as SimCorp Dimension, Power BI, SQL, Python, and Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
