Front-End Developer (Angular) – Contract

Location: GTA (Hybrid – ~1 day onsite/month) Rate: Competitive (aligned with $50 -$60/hr range) Duration: 6 months Initial contract with potential extension

Your new company

You will be joining a fast-paced enterprise technology team focused on enhancing customer experience and delivering scalable front-end solutions. The team is currently expanding due to increased front-end demand across key digital and loyalty initiatives.

Your new role

As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will play a key role in designing and building modern, scalable web applications using Angular. This is a hands-on position, with opportunities to contribute to architectural decisions, performance optimization, and mentoring junior developers.

What you’ll need to succeed

Core Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Angular (v19+)
Deep expertise in state management (NgRx, RxJS)
Experience working in Nx monorepo environments
Proven experience with Angular Universal (SSR)
Strong focus on performance optimization, monitoring, and tuning front-end applications

Additional Skills

Experience building scalable, maintainable UI components and front-end architecture
Strong understanding of reactive programming patterns
Experience working in agile environments with distributed teams
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize application performance at scale

Experience

7+ years of front-end development experience
Experience operating between Senior and Lead level, with ability to guide/mentor team members
Retail or e-commerce experience is a plus (especially around customer experience or loyalty platforms)
