Your new company

Hays Construction & Development is once again partnered with our vertically integrated Developer/General Contractor client who specializes in High Rise construction projects. They are a growing company and are seeking to increase the capability of their Estimation department.

Your new role

• Reviewing architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates
• Participating in design development and value engineering discussions
• Preparing budgets, tender packages, and bid comparisons
• Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing
• Supporting project handoff to construction teams

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this very important job, you should have at least 3–5 years
of experience in estimating, ideally with a GC or developer on mid- to high-rise residential or commercial projects, experience on projects around $40-50M or higher. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Experience with design-build project delivery is a strong asset, as well as proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, Excel, or similar). You should be fluently bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) and be detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within a dynamic team.

Your post-secondary education should include construction estimating or estimating technology/architectural technology.
