Your new role
As the Estates Law Clerk, you will be supporting 4 lawyers to assist with their estate-related files as you work alongside another Law Clerk who supports the team's other legal focus.
You will be tasked with things such as:
- Passing of accounts
- Probate
- Administration of Estate
- Estate trustee applications
- Guardianship applications
- Preparing court documents
- Client and court communication
What you'll need to succeed
- 5 – 7 Years of experience working as a Law Clerk practicing Estate Law
- Additional exposure to Real Estate, Corporate, and Family law would be seen as a benefit.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, organization skills, accurate and quality work are an ideal fit for this position.
- Comfortable docketing a minimum of 600 hours yearly, handling 25 to 30 estate files a month
- Completion of a Law Clerk Diploma.
- Team-player attitude with willingness to learn and confidence in your work.
- Software exposure such as Clio, Soluno, CosmoLex, Estateably, or eState Planner would all be seen as a benefit.
What you'll get in return
- Compensation between $65,000 and $75,000
