ENG Design Engineer II

Your new company

Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturing company located in Montreal Qc. We are looking to hire a ENG Design Engineer II to join their team on a contract basis of 12 months.

Your new role

Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA software.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliverables.
Ensure design accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and feasibility.
Perform detailed analysis and simulations to validate design performance.
Maintain and update design documentation and technical specifications.
Assist in the development of prototype models and support testing phases.

What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
Proven experience working with CATIA software in an engineering design role.
Strong understanding of CAD principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems is a plus.
