Your new role
As a Maintenance Planner – Energy, you will play a key role in reducing energy consumption and costs while aligning with site objectives. Based at the Red Lake operation in Northwestern Ontario, you will lead and direct the Energy Working Group, maintain the Energy Management Plan, and oversee the site’s energy budget. Your responsibilities include implementing energy-saving initiatives, ensuring compliance with funding programs, tracking energy consumption, and researching emerging technologies for greenhouse gas reduction. This is a residential role (no FIFO/camp) with a roster of 5 days on/2 days off and 4 days on/3 days off.
What you'll need to succeed
- Certified Energy Manager designation.
- Secondary degree/diploma or trade certification in a related field.
- Proven expertise in energy conservation practices within an industrial or mining setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with energy management topics such as peak demand reduction, strategic energy planning, and change management.
- Experience in energy project management.
- Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in software such as Pronto, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and RETScreen.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
