Electrical Construction Contract Administrator

Your new company

You will be joining a well‑established engineering consulting firm specializing in innovative and resilient electrical and electronic building systems. The organization delivers integrated engineering services for both new construction and the renovation or repurposing of existing buildings. With a strong reputation in the commercial, institutional, and healthcare sectors, the team is committed to fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.

Your new role

As an Electrical Construction Contract Administrator, you will play a key role within the Electrical Engineering Division, supporting the delivery of large‑scale projects from initial construction phases through to close‑out. Reporting to senior electrical leadership, you will participate in site inspections, construction meetings, contract documentation, progress reviews, and field coordination. This position blends hands‑on technical fieldwork with administrative and client‑facing responsibilities.
You’ll collaborate closely with design teams, contractors, and client representatives while contributing to ongoing project coordination and documentation. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your electrical expertise within a consulting environment, gain exposure to high‑profile projects, and contribute to mentoring and guiding project teams.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Licensed 309A Journeyperson Electrician (Commercial) or equivalent practical experience (minimum 6 years preferred)
  • Strong foundation in electrical systems, construction practices, and relevant codes, including the Ontario Electrical and Building Code
  • Familiarity with construction contract formats such as CCDC and project management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and related software
  • Confidence in client‑facing discussions and boardroom settings
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (70–80% site travel required)

What you'll get in return

  • Hybrid work model
  • Paid sick time
  • Half‑day Fridays year‑round
  • Company‑paid health insurance
  • Wellness and fitness reimbursement
  • Professional membership and education reimbursement
  • Referral bonus program
  • Access to onsite amenities such as a gym, EV charging stations, café lounge, and multi‑faith room
  • Monthly lunches, summer ice‑cream days, and regular social events
  • Presto card for client and site‑related travel
  • Annual team retreats and events including ski days, golf tournaments, and holiday celebrations
  • A modern, vibrant workspace and a culture that prioritizes collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion
