Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Divestiture Project Manager specializing in IT
to lead and manage all technology-related aspects of divestiture and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to ensure seamless IT transitions, data integrity, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Accountabilities
  • Assess current IT systems and define requirements for divestiture or integration.
  • Develop and execute IT transition plans, including data migration and system integration.
  • Ensure data security and compliance throughout the transition.
  • Conduct audits to identify and resolve technical risks or integration issues.
Managerial & Leadership Accountabilities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations) to align project goals.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to IT project teams.
  • Report progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders.
Project & Risk Management
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
  • Track milestones, manage scope, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
  • Engage and manage expectations of key stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional and vendor teams.
  • Promote open communication and resolve conflicts effectively.
Tools & Systems
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • Implement and support IT systems and tools required for project execution.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible documentation for all project phases.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT project management experience, with a focus on divestiture and M&A.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, data migration, and system integration.
  • Proven experience managing complex IT projects using tools like MS Project or JIRA.
  • Certifications:
    PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL Foundation.
  • Industry experience in financial services or healthcare is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Multilingual capabilities in
    English and Portuguese and/or French
    are considered an asset.
