Your new role
to lead and manage all technology-related aspects of divestiture and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to ensure seamless IT transitions, data integrity, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess current IT systems and define requirements for divestiture or integration.
- Develop and execute IT transition plans, including data migration and system integration.
- Ensure data security and compliance throughout the transition.
- Conduct audits to identify and resolve technical risks or integration issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations) to align project goals.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to IT project teams.
- Report progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
- Track milestones, manage scope, and ensure financial accountability.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Engage and manage expectations of key stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration across cross-functional and vendor teams.
- Promote open communication and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
- Implement and support IT systems and tools required for project execution.
- Maintain accurate and accessible documentation for all project phases.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of IT project management experience, with a focus on divestiture and M&A.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, data migration, and system integration.
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects using tools like MS Project or JIRA.
- Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL Foundation. - Industry experience in financial services or healthcare is an asset.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Multilingual capabilities in
English and Portuguese and/or French
are considered an asset.
