As the Director of Design & Engineering, you will lead and scale an in‑house multidisciplinary design division supporting telecommunications and utility projects. This is a newly created role with the mandate to build a department, strengthen operational processes, and manage budgetary requirements.

You will oversee a team of approximately 20 professionals, including designers, engineers, project managers, coordinators, and technical specialists, while providing hands‑on leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight. The role blends team development, technical supervision, financial management, and client engagement, offering significant autonomy and influence in shaping the department’s future.

- 8+ years of experience in telecommunications design, utilities design, civil/electrical engineering, or related infrastructure fields

- Deep understanding of telecom planning, design standards, and carrier requirements

- Strong background in civil or electrical engineering (preferred)

- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams

- Experience building or restructuring departments is a strong asset

- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin management

- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal oversight

- Excellent communication skills and a strong client‑facing presence
