Our client is a well-established and respected organization with a strong presence in the Calgary market. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced business development professional to join their team and play a key role in supporting future strategic initiatives.

Your new role

As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities across the commercial real estate sector. Working closely with senior leadership, you will develop strategic relationships with property owners, investors, developers, and other key stakeholders to grow the company's management portfolio and market presence.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing business development strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Identifying and pursuing new client opportunities within the Calgary and surrounding markets
  • Building and maintaining relationships with property owners, investors, developers, and industry partners
  • Leading client presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution
  • Collaborating with operational teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery
  • Representing the organization at industry events, networking functions, and community initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven success in business development, sales, brokerage, leasing, or client acquisition within commercial real estate or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate, property management, leasing, asset management, or investment real estate
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Experience leading negotiations and closing complex transactions or service agreements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with a proven track record of generating new business opportunities
  • Established Calgary market relationships would be considered a strong asset.
