Your new role

Reporting to the CFO, you will play a strategic role by supervising a team of 5 professionals. You will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, variance analyses, year-end files, and accounting activities related to major properties. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide analytical support to senior management.

• Lead and mentor the accounting team.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze variances against budget and forecasts.
• Review balance sheet accounts and monitor discrepancies.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare year-end files for entities under your responsibility.
• Provide information during tax audits.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses for management.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA designation.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, including team management.
• Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Experience with Yardi software (an asset).
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, and analytical mindset.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of work.
• Customer service mindset and team spirit.
