Metal Fabrication -Machining & Welding Fitting Assembly
- Interpret dimensional requirements from the blueprint and calibrate machines using Calypso CMM
- Program all dimensional machines and equipment using Zeiss Calypso (MUST have)
- Create and manage inspection programs
- Create programs to measure parts including complex geometrics
- Integrate / calibration/ programming into a single inspection plan
- Automate measurement plan by using Zeiss – Calypso
- Must be able to program the blueprint requirements on to the CMM (Calypso-Experience is a MUST)/ interpret the blueprint accurately for Geometric Dimensioning and other spec
- Translate design specifications into instructions for the CMM to verify product quality.
Our client is one of the largest metal fabricators in Canada with multiple sites and has a new job opening for Quality Assurance Technician / Guage Technician / QA inspector CMM Programmer for their facility based in London – St. Thomas – Woodstock, ON area. This is a full-time permanent afternoon shift job. A clear Criminal Check is required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Quality Assurance Technician / Guage Technician / QA inspector CMM Programmer
(Ziess)will analyze blueprints, understand product dimensional specifications, feed the dimensions on to the CMM (Calypso) software, create inspections program using Zeiss – Calypso (MUST have) to ensure product quality for dimensional requirements. You will be part of the Quality Assurance team to ensure the accuracy of the parts and products, fully responsible for reading the blueprints independently and accurately, understanding dimensional qualifications and programming instruments. You will be responsible for creating an inspection plan by programming the spec using Calypso.

Quality Assurance Technician / Guage Technician / QA inspector CMM Programmer will have 2–3 years’ experience with CMM programming (Calypso-Zeiss is a MUST) ; experience with custom metal fabrication; above-average skills in interpreting the blueprint in detail, create the CMM program; experience with Calypso, Diploma in Quality, Certified Quality Technicians
