Our client, a privately held manufacturer in Burlington, is looking to hire a Controller.

Your new role

As the Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the financial operations of a dynamic manufacturing business. You’ll oversee ERP systems, lead month-end and year-end reporting, maintain compliance, and drive strategic planning and budgeting. Your responsibilities span across AP/AR, payroll, tax remittances, inventory, fixed assets, and cash flow forecasting. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and operations to support project budgeting, tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives, while also managing banking, insurance, and IT relationships. Leadership of administrative and HR staff, along with a strong presence on the shop floor, will be key to fostering financial awareness across the organization.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (a master’s is a plus), and a CPA designation is strongly preferred. You should bring 5–10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including leadership roles. Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills are essential. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly will set you apart. You’ll also need proven experience managing teams, driving compliance, and collaborating across departments to support data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
