Attractive opportunity with an established Surrey GC that undertakes commercial and institutional projects.

Your new company

Our client is an expanding construction company that focuses on the building of commercial and institutional projects. Projects undertaken in recent years include firehalls, health centers, aquatic centers and seniors housing facilities. Projects tend to be in the $2-30m range, and they comprise a mixture of ground-up construction and renovations. The company is located in Surrey and they pride themselves on having a close-knit, team-oriented environment. The owners are very hands-on, fair and approachable. They have excellent relationships with clients and trades locally. Despite the changeable market conditions, the company continues to be very busy and have multiple projects in preconstruction. It is anticipated that 2026 will be a stellar year for the business.

Your new role

We are looking for an experienced construction professional that can confidently run a project as point person from preconstruction through to handover. You will work out of the company office but will visit site regularly to check on progress and liaise closely with the Superintendent and site team. You will be supported in the office by a shared resource Project Coordinator who will assist with some of the more administrative aspects of the project.

What you'll need to succeed

Candidates for consideration should have 10+ years' construction project management experience. You must be a proven self-starter who is knowledgeable about institutional and/or commercial projects. You are a collaborative person that understands what is required to make a project run smoothly. You should be comfortable mentoring less experienced team members and nurturing a positive team culture.
