Looking for a Hands-On CI/CD specialist role in Toronto, ON

We are now looking for a Hands-On CI/CD specialist role to be filled ASAP.

Role : CI/CD Specialist (Hands-On) / DevOps Engineer.
Start Date : ASAP
Duration : 1 Year
Location : Downtown Toronto
Work Arrangement : Onsite ( 3-4 Days/Week)
Cloud Platforms : Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure
Rate: CAD 80/hr- 90/hr

Role Purpose:
Seeking a hands-on CI/CD Specialist to build, maintain, and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines for enterprise applications.

This role is focused on day-to-day pipeline development, automation, and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to support Java-based applications and maintain stable CI/CD environments across GCP and Azure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub
  • Implement pipeline-as-code using Groovy, YAML, and shell scripting
  • Support automated build, test, and packaging workflows using Maven and Gradle
  • Support development teams using Git and GitHub, including branching strategies and pull requests
  • Build and maintain Docker images for application deployments
  • Support container-based build and runtime workflows
  • Support CI/CD workflows deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure
  • Assist with deployment and configuration of applications in cloud-based environments
  • Maintain and support non-production environments to ensure availability and stability
  • Write and maintain automation scripts using Python and shell scripting
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline failures and build issues
  • Assist developers with environment and deployment-related problems
  • Participate in incident investigation related to build and deployment failures
  • Document CI/CD pipelines, processes, and operational runbooks
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Docker, Maven, and/or Gradle
  • Strong working knowledge of Java build processes
  • Experience with CI/CD best practices and pipeline automation
  • Practical experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation
  • Comfortable working in Linux-based environments
    Nice-to-Have Skills:
    Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience supporting CI/CD in regulated or enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions
