• Gather, analyze, and document both functional and non-functional requirements to ensure complete understanding of business needs.
• Translate business needs into detailed system specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams, contractors or application owners.
• Conduct gap analysis and assess the impact of proposed system changes on existing processes and solutions.

• Analyze current systems, workflows, APIs, and integrations to identify opportunities for improvement or enhancement.
• Document technical processes, including system architecture, data flow, and interface requirements, to provide clear guidance for technical teams.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to design scalable and efficient system solutions that align with business objectives.

• Prepare thorough system documentation using various methodologies to support the project lifecycle.
• Maintain requirements traceability to ensure alignment of deliverables with stakeholder needs throughout each project phase.

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding.
• Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, and presentations to effectively communicate proposed solutions.
• Manage expectations regarding project timelines, system capabilities, and potential constraints.

• Support quality assurance efforts by defining test requirements, reviewing test cases, and validating test results for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct system and integration testing to verify that requirements are met and the solution functions as intended.
• Assist with user acceptance testing and help resolve any defects identified during the testing process.

• Analyze data requirements, design data mappings, and develop migration strategies to support system integration and reporting needs.
• Work with data teams to address reporting and analytics requirements, ensuring that system outputs meet business intelligence and compliance standards.

• Partner with project managers to identify project scope, risks, and dependencies to facilitate successful project execution.
• Participate in agile activities such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to support continuous delivery.
• Provide input for release planning and contribute to change management activities.

• Recommend enhancements to systems and business processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Research new technologies, tools, and best practices to keep the organization’s IT landscape current.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews and contribute to lessons learned for ongoing improvement.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications such as:
  1. CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) (Senior)
  2. CBDA – Certification in Business Data Analytics (IIBA)
  3. Agile Certifications
     • ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP)
     • IIBA-AAC – Agile Analysis Certification (IIBA)
     • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
     • PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
  4. Power BI / Tableau Certifications

• 3 to 7 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst
• Hands-on experience in system analysis, APIs, integrations, and data mapping.
• Proven track record working within the software development lifecycle (SDLC) or in agile delivery environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI and analytics.

• Strong knowledge of databases, data flows, and system integration methods.
  1. AWS middleware, Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with system architecture, APIs, and web services.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as MS Visio, Planner / Project, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools is considered an asset.
• Knowledge & experience with accounting and business processes is very helpful.
