Hiring a Business Analyst for a 2-year contract in Calgary

Hays is partnering with a large energy company in Alberta. This role is based out of their Calgary, AB office. This is a 2-year contract.

Your new role
We’re seeking a Business Analyst to support operational and strategic initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves working with internal teams and external partners to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and support workforce management systems.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvement
  • Support workforce management systems and ensure data integrity across platforms
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill resource-related requests
  • Provide onboarding and training support for various business tools and systems
  • Develop and present reports using data visualization tools to inform business decisions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues across procurement and payment workflows
  • Contribute to process optimization initiatives and special projects as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
What you'll need to succeed
  • 3–5 years of experience in business analysis or program coordination
  • Familiarity with contingent workforce system, Fieldglass
  • Proficiency in data reporting tools such as Power BI and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience supporting procurement, payment, or vendor-related processes
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
